IRI Exec Announces Retirement
The Insured Retirement Institute's annual conference started off with the news that its president and CEO will retire at the end of next year.
Cathy Weatherford, who has led the organization since Sept. 2008, announced she will retire in December 2018. Weatherford has had a long history in the financial services industry, serving for 12 years as executive vice president of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners and for three years as Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner.
Weatherford's announcement was just part of an information-packed opening session at IRI's annual conference. Here is a sampling of some tweets from today's activities.
