State Farm Agents Meet to Plan the Future of Their Business

PR Web

Orlando, FL (PRWEB) October 14, 2012

On September 27 and 28, State Farm agents came together for the Florida Power Party, an event designed to help insurance agents think about the challenges and opportunities they face, and how they can respond to the rapid changes happening in the marketplace and the world.

“We are now in the ‘Personal Age,’” said Peter Catsimpiris, who delivered the keynote speech. “Being an insurance agent isn’t just about knowing the right products for customers and providing great customer service anymore – although those things are still critical. What really will set the best agents apart is providing an amazing customer experience that makes the client feel important, respected, and engaged.” Peter is a partner of Insure the Future, a consulting company that works with State Farm agents throughout the country.

Held at the famous Peabody Orlando, the Third Florida Power Party brought agents from all corners of Florida, along with North Carolina, Virginia, Ohio, and New York. Agents hold the Power Party twice a year to collaborate and share ideas that will help them build remarkable, experience-based agencies.

Agents found that the Power Party was incredibly important for helping them strategize about their business. “The connections made with other like-minded, forward thinking agents are great! You get information that no one else is talking about,” said Courtney Paat, an agent in Plant City, Florida.

Topics the agents discussed included planning exciting events for clients and the community, creating an agency that captures clients’ attention and imagination, and new technology to improve client experiences. “I came away with new thoughts on what our agency will look like in the future. We are moving fast and need to stay ahead of the game in every aspect,” Mike Baker of Fairborn, Ohio remarked.

“This event stretches our thinking and expands the realm of possibilities within our agencies. I come away with things that I can do immediately to help my agency,” said Maria Maranda of Brandon, Florida.

The Florida Power Party is put on by the CANDO Forum, a non-profit organization run by agents to foster collaboration and community. The next Power Party will take place March 21 and 22 at the Peabody Orlando.
