U.S. RE names Charles G. Desmond Senior Vice President, Manager of Newly Opened Mid West Office
Pearl River, New York, August 19, 2013 - Mr. Joseph Fedor, Executive Vice President, U.S. RE Corporation, today announced the naming of Charles (Chuck) G. Desmond, Senior Vice President, U.S. RE Corporation and Branch Manager of U.S RE’s newly established Mid West office, located in Schaumburg, Illinois. Mr. Desmond, who served formerly as Senior Vice President, Chicago Branch Manager of BMS Intermediaries, joined U.S. RE effective August 15th, 2013. The creation of U.S. RE’s Mid West office marks its second branch office opening in 2013 to serve its growing clientele in key U.S. markets. In May, U.S. RE opened offices in Schenectady, New York to serve the Upstate New York and New England markets.
According to Mr. Fedor, Mr. Desmond brings thirty-one years of experience to his role as Senior Vice President, with special excellence in client servicing and production in the Mid West region. “We welcome Chuck particularly as a specialist in treaty reinsurance, with special expertise in working with both mutual and stock companies in the mid-West area. He brings extraordinary capability and excellent relationships to U.S.RE as we continue our growth in the mid-West”, Mr. Fedor stated.
Charles (Chuck) G. Desmond served from 2005 – 2013 as Senior Vice President, Chicago Branch Manager, BMS Intermediaries. Before that, he was Senior Vice President of Vision Reinsurance Intermediaries and prior to that Vice President of Client Services, Intere Intermediaries in Chicago. A graduate of Western Illinois University, Mr. Desmond has represented carriers with a special focus on Personal Lines including LVD, Homeowners and Private Passenger Auto, Commercial Lines, Workers’ Compensation, Specialty Programs and MGA Business. He has been instrumental in assisting clients with Portfolio Acquisitions, new Product Line expansion and Insurance Company Startups.
