Thomas P. Tooley, ChFC®, CLU®, Elected To The American College’s Board Of Trustees
BRYN MAWR, PA – February 5, 2013 -- The American College announced today that Thomas P. Tooley, ChFC®, CLU®, Senior Vice President and Head of Insurance Solutions Distribution at Lincoln Financial Distributors, Inc., has been named as the newest member of its Board of Trustees.

In his current position at Lincoln, Tooley is responsible for leading the distribution initiatives associated with Lincoln's life insurance and executive benefits businesses.
He joined Lincoln in 2010 as National Sales Manager, Independent Planner Channel. In September of 2011, Tooley was also named Senior Vice President and Head of Insurance Solutions Distribution, a title he holds concurrently with his previous appointment.
Earlier in his career, Tooley served as a senior executive responsible for Life Insurance
Distribution at The Hartford. He also held leadership positions with Travelers Life & Annuity, Smith Barney and Citigroup, and Aetna Life & Casualty.
Tooley holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. In 1986, he earned the Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®); the world's most respected designation of insurance expertise. In addition, Tooley has earned the Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) credential from The American College – widely regarded as highest standard of knowledge and trust for financial planning professionals. He is also registered with FINRA and holds Series 6, 7, 22, 24, and 63 licenses.
Tooley will be one of 44 members of The American College’s Board of Trustees. The President of the Board of Trustees is Larry Barton, Ph.D., CAP®, President and CEO of The American College.
