The National Alliance and Florida State University Enrolling Military and Their Spouses into Careers for Life Program
AUSTIN, TX - February 26, 2014 – Dr. William T. Hold, President of The National Alliance, and Caryn L. Beck-Dudley, Dean of FSU’s College of Business announce the Careers for Life program now has enrolled participants. Careers for Life is open to all services of the military, military spouses, dependents, and all veterans.
This exciting initiative provides soldiers, veterans and their spouses the opportunity to pursue civilian careers in the Risk Management and Insurance Industries. The goal of the initiative is to prepare these men and women to be “career-ready” by completing The Alliance's premiere education, training and mentoring programs. The skills and values of these dedicated Americans translate very well to civilian risk management and insurance as they devise ways to protect businesses and the people who live, create and work in them. This program can be tailored to benefit Active Duty Military, Military members anticipating separation and traditional Guardsmen and Reservists that desire a full time career in the Risk Management and Insurance Industries.
“The Careers for Life Initiative is an exciting program for The Alliance, FSU, and our country,” said Dr. William T. Hold, President and co-founder of The National Alliance and one of the “Top 25 Living Legends of Insurance.” “The men and women that have served in our military are the ‘cream of the crop’ and we want these leaders working in the RMI industries and the Careers for Life Initiative will get this accomplished.”
Caryn L. Beck-Dudley, the Dean of FSU’s College of Business, had this to say: “After two years of planning, we are especially gratified to see the program begin. The College of Business and Florida State University’s veterans community take a great deal of pride in being a vital part of this unique initiative. We look forward to the growth and continuing development of this program at FSU.”
