Folsom, CA - June 30, 2014- Hub International Insurance Services, Inc. (Hub) a leading international insurance brokerage announced today that Jay Corbett has joined the organization as Senior Vice President of the Commercial Division based in Folsom, California.  In addition to his commercial brokerage production role, Corbett will serve as the site manager in the Hub International Folsom, California office.

Prior to joining Hub, Corbett was affiliated with the Leavitt Group Brokerage in Sacramento, California where he served as a commercial lines broker specializing primarily in construction, manufacturing, distribution, real estate & property management as well as entertainment.

Corbett began his insurance consulting career, after college and a four-year service obligation with the United States Navy, at Employee Benefits Insurance in San Jose, California.  Several years later he started Corbett Insurance Services, which subsequently merged with Winchester Insurance Agency in Santa Clara, California.

At Winchester, he wrote CompWatch, an industry leading workers’ compensation claims and risk management software product, still available today. Thereafter, he moved to ABD in Redwood City, California, where he experienced his greatest growth as both a manager and as a Broker, focusing on the above industries.

“Jay is one of the strongest commercial risk experts in Northern California,” opined John Miller, Executive Vice President, Hub International Insurance Services.   “Hub is indeed fortunate to add a Broker- Manager of his stature, experience and leadership to the Northern California commercial division team.  Jay represents both a marvelous resource and mentor for our emergent greater Sacramento area commercial team and also a very apt and able communicator for Hub International clients who are dealing with complex levels of commercial risk and need assistance in fashioning cost-effective solutions.”

Corbett received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Finance from San Jose State University in 1977.  He currently resides in Granite Bay, California with his wife and family.

Headquartered in Chicago, IL, Hub International Limited is a leading global insurance brokerage that provides a broad array of property and casualty, life and health, employee benefits, investment and risk management products and services through offices located in the United States, Canada and Brazil.
