Zurich North America Names Fick Chief Underwriting Officer

SCHAUMBURG, Illinois, Sept. 11 -- Zurich Insurance, a property-casualty insurance company, issued the following news release:
Zurich Insurance has appointed Brandon Fick Chief Underwriting Officer for Zurich North America, effective September 17, 2018. Fick is currently Head of Casualty for Zurich North America Commercial Insurance. He will report directly to Kathleen Savio, CEO of Zurich North America and join the North America Senior Team.
"Our Underwriting capabilities are foundational to Zurich's success," said Savio. "With decades of underwriting experience, proven leadership and strong industry and market knowledge, Brandon will help us continue to deliver profitable underwriting results and solutions that meet our customers' changing needs."
In his current role, Fick manages the North America Commercial Insurance casualty book. He previously served as Head of Casualty for Global Corporate in North America and Senior Vice President of Casualty for Global Corporate's large corporate customer segment. He joined Zurich in 1999 as an Underwriter and has held a variety of underwriting and management roles at Zurich. Prior to joining Zurich, Fick held a variety of underwriting and management roles at AIG.
Fick holds dual bachelor's degrees in risk management and insurance and in business law from Temple University.
