XL Catlin Launches Fast Fast Forward LIVE: A Global Event Series

Targeted News Service (Press Releases)

LONDON, England, April 4 -- XL Group, an insurance and reinsurance company, issued the following news release:

XL Catlin has launched Fast Fast Forward LIVE, a content-driven, thought leadership event series for clients and brokers. Fast Fast Forward LIVE's launch took place in Switzerland on Friday 23 March, and focussed on the role of Insurtech in the development of the commercial insurance industry. It is an extension of Fast Fast Forward, XL Catlin's award - winning thought leadership platform providing articles and interviews on current topics including technology, innovation and new thinking on risk.

XL Catlin recognises that technology and innovations are changing the world, fast. Providing a forum where clients, brokers and interested parties can share ideas and experiences on the changing nature of risk will drive engagement and collaboration to help insurers further understand the needs of business with an eye towards creating the right solutions for business today and tomorrow.

Elliott Bundy, Chief Communications and Marketing Officer at XL Catlin, said: "Fast Fast Forward, has been, and continues to be, a great success, its readership has steadily increased and today engages with over 60,000 people globally. It enables our teams to connect, share knowledge and collaborate with a wide and varied audience of peers and industry experts. Fast Fast Forward LIVE now allows us to build on this success by hosting tailored events in markets around the world with both internal and external experts from the industry and beyond exploring emerging risks, trends and the risk environment."

Fast Fast Forward LIVE's first event was hosted in Zurich, Switzerland with XL Catlin's Sarah Street, EVP Strategy and Innovation Initiatives and Director, XL innovate, speaking on The Insurtech Phenomenon. The event also included a workshop on the shared economy: a new approach for liability cover and transferring operational risks.

A panel debate also took place on: What role do Start-Ups and Insurtech play in the development of the commercial insurance industry? Participants included:

* Enrico Bolloni, CEO and Co-founder Picsure Gmbh (previously Snapsure), AI-Platform for the Insurance Industry.

* Prof. Dr. Peter Maas, Management Professor at the University of St. Gallen and Member of the Executive Board of the Institute of Insurance Economics.

* Ralph Mogicato, Experienced Angel Investor in Fintechs/Insurtechs

Fast Fast Forward LIVE events are currently being planned in Europe, Australia, Latin America and in key cities across the United States, covering topics ranging from operational risk to robotics. The next event in the series is scheduled to take place in Boston in May.
