XL Catlin Appoints Flavio Zoppello As Client, Distribution Leader in Brazil

SAO PAULO, Sept. 28 -- XL Group, an insurance and reinsurance company, issued the following news release:

XL Catlin has appointed Flavio Zoppello as Client and Distribution Leader to drive the growth of its insurance portfolio in Brazil.

Commenting on Mr. Zoppello's appointment, Renato Rodrigues, Country Manager of XL Catlin -Brazil, said: "Brazil has continued to be an important and growing market for us and as such we are focused on recruiting the best talent for every role. Mr. Zoppello has 22 years of experience in the insurance industry working with small, medium and large brokers, including multinational Mega Brokers. He joins XL Catlin from Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Group where he served as Regional Director for Brazil. He previously worked at Allianz leading the Large Risk portfolio which included products for Property, Casualty, Financial Lines, Marine and Personal Lines. Mr. Zoppello holds a Master's degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor's degree in Information Technologies.
