NEW YORK, Jan. 18 -- XL Catlin, a brand used by XL Group, issued the following news release:
XL Catlin's Global Risk Management Group has announced promotions in regional leadership in the US. These promotions will further the group's vision for an integrated multinational and US risk management insurance platform. Mark McConico has been appointed Senior Vice President and will lead Global Risk Management's insurance underwriting operations in the northeast United States. Lizette Junor has been appointed Vice President and will lead Global Risk Management's underwriting operations in the south west United States in addition to her current responsibilities as leader of the multinational platform for the western United States.
Ken Riegler, President of Global Risk Management commented, "We offer customized global solutions for the complex casualty needs of the largest companies in the United States and Canada. We bring together domestic and multinational capabilities under one product offering and provide global casualty solutions to our customers. I am excited for Mark and Lizette as they take on these new roles and I am thrilled that we were able to promote from within our very talented risk management team."
Since joining XL Catlin in 2013, Mr. McConico has successfully driven the regional growth of XL Catlin's primary casualty risk management business throughout the Southwest region. Prior to joining XL Catlin, Mark served as vice president and casualty manager for AON's risk management and middle market groups. He also spent nearly a decade in various primary casualty underwriting positions with ACE Risk Management.
According to Mr. Riegler, "Mark develops strategic casualty insurance solutions that address customer insurance needs and adds value to their risk management programs. His leadership, underwriting expertise, market knowledge and enthusiasm will prove to be an asset to brokers and clients in our largest region and build on the strength of our established underwriting team."
Lizette Junor joined XL Catlin in 2016 to lead Global Risk Management's Multi National Casualty practice in the Western Zone. Under her proven leadership, she has expanded XL Catlin's presence in the multinational sector and demonstrated the skills necessary to execute on our vision of a truly global primary casualty offering. Prior to joining XL Catlin, Lizette served as Director and Western Region Manager of AON's Global Risk Client Network.
Mr. Riegler added, "In the short time, Lizette has been with XL Catlin, she has made a significant impact on growing our business.
