HOLLY MILLER

As an Arizona native, I've always believed in the power of community and connection. For the past 7 years, it has been a privilege to serve the Casa Grande community through Visiting Angels, helping seniors remain in their homes-living independently, safely, and with dignity. Every senior we care for holds a special place in our hearts, and being part of their journey is truly rewarding.

This past year, I've focused on strengthening relationships with others who share the same passion for caring for seniors. Supporting one another not only enhances the care we provide but also builds a stronger, more compassionate community.

One of the greatest honors this year for Visiting Angels Casa Grande is being selected to care for our veterans through the Veteran's Affairs home based services. Providing care and companionship to those who have sacrificed so much for our freedoms is our way of saying "thank you." It's a small token of appreciation for the courage and service that shaped our nation.

Every day, I'm reminded that when we come together, we enrich the heart of Casa Grande.

Outside the insurance "work world", we find personal therapy and joy in our children, grandchildren, family and friends whether it's desert or mountain camping, horseback riding, hunting, sand duning, playing cards or whatever that takes us out of the office. LADONNA FORD

They say that if you find something you are passionate about you never will work a day in your life.

Well, I'm not sure about that, but I can say that I love my work!

Nine years ago, I decided tolaunch my soaps products via a website and craft shows. If things went well, I wanted to open a brick and mortar in an old style downtown.

In 2020 my dream came true! I opened Arizona Native Lotions and Soaps with Friends in Old Downtown Casa Grande. My business format changed from just body products to include 20 of my friends with their hand-made gifts. As of today, we have 24 of the most talented people showing off their amazing products. In 2024 we moved into a bigger building on Florence Street, after we out grew our old shoppe, and included crafting classes. We are open Tuesday-Saturday 10 am-5 pm, closed Sundays & Mondays.

I am grateful for my wonderful customers and a supportive community. Thanks for choosing to shop small, it makes a BIG difference to us!

Operations Manager, Eloy Chamber of Commerce

I am excited to represent the Eloy Chamberof Commerce as the Operations Manager. The Eloy Chamber has taken up several important elements of Eloy - the Museum and Visitor Center. As Operations Manager, I oversee the Eloy Museum and Visitor Center, as well as keeping up with chamber membership, event planning and business grand openings which can be very rewarding opportunities to help the community. Recently I have taken on the role of the Chairwoman for the Pinal County Museum Group as well as coordinating the Women in Business Program for the Chamber.

I love meeting new people and talking about the Eloy Chamber and the City of Eloy. Explaining how joining the chamber and being part of the excitement is a fun part of my job.

Event planning is my favorite thing to do - especially the Eloy Glow. We are getting close to the 2025 Eloy Glow taking place on November 8, 2025. Information and tickets for the Eloy Glow can be found at www.eloyglow.com

Rebecca Thomas

Rebecca Thomas is a passionate educator, dedicated entrepreneur, and active community leader in Coolidge, Arizona. As the founder of both Horizon Tutoring and the newly launched Horizon Storm competitive cheer and tumbling program, Rebecca is committed to fostering academic excellence and providing dynamic athletic opportunities for local youth.

· Rebecca launched Horizon Tutoring three years ago with a simple mission: to provide personalized, in-home learning support. What began as a local tutoring service has flourished into a thriving Micro-school, offering comprehensive educational services for children at all stages of education. From Pre-K and K-12 support to specialized programs for students with special needs and full-time schooling options, Horizon Tutoring is a testament to Rebecca's belief that every childdeserves a tailored path to access.

When a long-standing local cheer program closed its doors, leaving dozens of athletes without a place to practice, Rebecca stepped in. Driven by a deep commitment to the emotional and physical well-being of these young athletes, she launched Horizon Storm with big plans and bigger dreams to create a supportive, high-quality program for cheer and tumbling.

· When she's not leading her businesses, Rebecca's world revolves around her family. She and her husband, Marcus, have one adult daughter and are raising three wonderful children, including two daughters who are competitive cheerleaders - giving her a first-hand understanding of the passion and commitment required by the sport. Rebecca's work is not just a profession; it's an extension of her commitment to her family and the entire Coolidge community.

PAULA LESLIE

The big six zero. 60. That's my number this year. That means I have completed 60 years of living. I have been a mom for 39 years. I have been a grandmother for 16 years. I have been a college graduate for 37 years. I have been working and earning money for 48 years. I have been a babysitter, a fast food hamburger maker, a cash room money counter, an accounts receivable and payroll clerk, a cashier and floor employee for a retail store, a deejay, a substitute teacher, an accountant's assistant, and an office manager. Twenty-six years ago, I became a business owner. People sometimes ask me why I never returned to college to get a master's degree. First of all, my employer won't pay me more money for having a higher degree. Secondly, managing a business is like going to school and earning a degree over and over again. But, I think my first real business lessons were learned while I was a 12 year old certified babysitter on Bolling AFB. To babysit on base, you had to take a class, pass it, receive your certification, and then get added to a list of acceptable babysitters. Right away I got two steady clients - both couples bowled but on different evenings. The first couple had older children, a boy and girl 5 and 7. I had to be there before dinner time, prepare the dinner, clean the kitchen, make sure the children took their baths, and put them to bed. All this for seventy-five cents an hour. This couple stayed out late almost always. When it was not expedient for the man to drive me home, he walked me home. I lived only a few streets away. The children were rambunctious, and defiant. The parents were cool, and they usually paid me more than I earned. The second couple had a baby who was not yet walking, and in cloth diapers. They were an odd couple who were very particular about their house and child. I had to remove my shoes when I entered which didn't bother me except that back then my feet sweat more than my underarms. One day I had just put powder in my shoes. I took my shoes off, and walked to the living room. The wife noticed I was leaving white footprints on her rug and freaked out. I promised to vacuum it up. Her child one night had an explosion in his diaper but managed to scoot all over his designated play area as it oozed out from his cloth diaper. I cleaned up best I could with the cleaning products I could find. I told the couple this. They were very accusatory thinking I had fed their child something that did not sit well with his digestive system. I assured them I had not. That couple would pay me to the penny. If I babysat for 59 minutes, they would pay me seventy-four cents. I started only accepting babysitting requests from the first couple, and rejecting the couple with the baby.

After a year, I quit babysitting all together. I was a good babysitter but it was not something I enjoyed. I learned time management, perseverance, the value of my skills, availability and reliability. I learned that the customer is not always right, and it is okay to let them know. I learned that not everyone is going to appreciate you, and it is okay to not transact business with those people. I have carried these lessons from babysitting into the adult world of busi-ness. You don't learn those lesson sitting in a classroom - you learn them by doing them.

I told my sons I will stay in this business classroom full time for five more years. After that, I got other classrooms to attend and lessons to learn.

Before introducing someone I consider to be one of the greatest when it comes to Women in Business, take a moment to ask yourself how you define success? Is it how much money you've made, how many leadership positions you've held or how long you've been with your employer?

Those things may be important but something far greater to measure success is how many lives you've touched, how happy you are in your career and knowing that you've made a difference in someone's life. There is only one person who comes to mind when I look at all of those things and that person is Robin Triplett the current manager at Casa Grande Jewelry & Pawn. Not only does she love her job, she loves helping people in need. There are many people out there that can share their stories of how she touched their lives. Robin believes in people and goes the extra mile to help people get up and going again.

Hands down one of the most selfless people I know and did I mention she is the Easter Bunny!
