WASHINGTON, Sept. 26 -- The American Council of Life Insurers issued the following news release on Sept. 25:
American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI) President & CEO Susan Neely thanked Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers and Insurance Commissioner Mark Afable for recognizing September as Life Insurance Awareness Month.
"Kudos to Governor Evers and Commissioner Afable for encouraging Wisconsinites to think about and plan for the financial futures of their loved ones as part of Life Insurance Awareness Month.
"Given today's economic uncertainties, it has never been more important to ensure families in Wisconsin and throughout America have long-term financial peace of mind," Neely said.
Life insurers play an essential role in Wisconsin families' lives, providing $44 million daily in life insurance, as well as annuity, benefits. But unfortunately, many families in Wisconsin and throughout the United States have inadequate coverage.
"That is what makes Life Insurance Awareness Month so important, and why we are so pleased with Governor Evers and Commissioner Afable's recognition of the month," she said.
