Wilmington Trust Hired Val Ferrara as Senior Sales Trust Representative for Institutional Retirement Services Division

PR Web

New York (PRWEB) December 16, 2015

Wilmington Trust hired Val Ferrara as senior sales trust representative for its Institutional Retirement Services division, where she'll work to grow the company's collective investment trust (CIT) business nationwide. She is based in Wilmington Trust's office in Manhattan.

Ferrara will advise clients on collective investment trusts as an investment vehicle for defined contribution 401(k) plans. She will provide support to defined contribution financial advisors, recordkeeping partners, and sales teams at Wilmington Trust's sub-advisor partner firms.

Prior to joining Wilmington Trust, Ferrara was a defined contribution associate at BlackRock, where she supported defined contribution financial advisors on both active and passive management, mutual funds, CITs, and exchange traded funds. She also supported broker-dealer home office retirement relationships.

Before that, Ferrara was employed as a financial advisor in Merrill Lynch's Financial Advisor Center.

"The demand for collective investment trusts in the defined contribution space is growing. The addition of Val to our team broadens our service to plans of all sizes nationwide," said Matt McAfee, head of Retirement Services at Wilmington Trust. "With her energy, relationships, and product knowledge of the defined contribution industry, Val is a great asset to our team and, more importantly, our clients."

Wilmington Trust is currently trustee for more than 100 funds with $12 billion in assets under administration, representing more than 4,000 plans.

Ferrara earned a bachelor's degree in finance from Siena College. She holds titles of Accredited Investment Fiduciary® and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor®.

She is based in Wilmington Trust's office at 350 Park Ave., New York, N.Y., and can be reached at (212)326-9662.
