The Federal Reserve has raised interest rates 500 basis points in 14 months, and yet growth is still proceeding apace. As Strategas' Don Rissmiller recently said, "We're holding our breath underwater as long as policy remains tight." The widely cited New York Fed estimate puts it at 1%.
