HANOVER, N.H. (AP) _ White Mountains Insurance Group Ltd. (WTM) on Friday reported a first-quarter loss of $128.8 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
The Hanover, New Hampshire-based company said it had a loss of $40.54 per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were $8.50 per share.
White Mountains shares have decreased 18% since the beginning of the year. The stock has decreased 2.5% in the last 12 months.
