Vericred Names John Carson Chief Revenue Officer Amid Rapid Growth

Employee benefits infrastructure leader taps industry veteran Carson in latest executive team expansion

Vericred, the platform powering digital quote-to-card experiences in health insurance and benefits, today announced it has named John Carson as chief revenue officer (CRO). Carson is a proven revenue leader who brings to Vericred more than 25 years of experience in the human resources, payroll, health insurance, employee benefits and financial services industries.

In his new role, Carson is charged with accelerating Vericred’s revenue growth, expanding relationships with existing customers, and adding new logos. He will lead and add headcount to Vericred’s revenue-generating teams including sales, sales operations, and customer success.

Carson joins Vericred during a period of rapid growth as the company builds on its position as the industry's leader in powering the future of digital distribution in health insurance and employee benefits. In the midst of an industry-wide shift towards digital transformation, Vericred is enabling seamless connectivity and simplified data exchange between insurtech platforms and carriers. Since completing its Series B funding round in April 2021, Vericred increased headcount from 50 to 80 employees across its New York City headquarters, fast-growing Omaha office, and remote locations across the U.S. Notable recent new hires include Vice President of Engineering Claude Correll, Vice President of Marketing Lindsay Gerspach, and Vice President of Customer Success Kevin Thompson. The company plans to continue augmenting its sales, customer success, marketing, and engineering teams, and is on track to have 100 employees by year’s end.

Prior to joining Vericred, Carson was CRO at Flores & Associates, a national administrator of tax-advantaged consumer-based reimbursement plans. He has also held sales leadership roles at Alight Solutions, Aon Hewitt, E*TRADE Financial and Fidelity Investments.
