Vehicle theft drives 50% increase in auto insurance premiums
According to the latest data from the Chilean Insurers Association, between January and October of this year, car thefts reached 13,962, 67.6% above the 8,330 in the same period of 2021. The 10 vehicles with the highest thefts represent 32% of the total of these crimes, and in them there are 4 Nissan models, 3 Kia, in addition to Ford, Toyota and Mitsubishi.
