Friday, Aug. 16

4:50 p.m.: While traveling east on Mystic Avenue and attempting to enter the Main Street intersection, A Toyota crashed into a Subaru, which was traveling southbound on Main Street. The Toyota driver told police she was unfamiliar with the area. A Subaru sustained heavy front-end damage, while the Toyota was totaled.

Saturday, Aug. 17

11:59 a.m.: Winchester Police issued 10 tickets to individuals walking their dogs off leash in restricted areas of the Middlesex Fells reservoirs.

10:33 a.m.: Employees of the Second Congregational Church on Washington Street reported vandalism to the building. The pastor discovered offensive writing on the Kenwin Road side of the building along the wheelchair ramp. Among the written phrases and words were "yetty wasn't here," "home slice," "shroom," and "Satan's Daddy OW." The pastor also said she observed two teenage boys in the area the night before. The pastor said she didn't believe any parishioners were targets of hate.

4:23 p.m.: A resident driving west on Pond Street told police he was rear-ended when he stopped at the crosswalk. Police found that the culprit of the fender bender was driving with expired license. His car suffered a minor paint transfer to the back bumper, report said.

Monday, Aug. 19

6:08 p.m.: An officer responded to the Jenks parking lot to investigate a hit-and-run. When a resident returned to her car, she found a basketball-sized dent along the rear driver's side quarter panel, she reported to the police. The dent was accompanied by several white scratches, according to the report. No nearby cameras captured the footage.

11:20 p.m.: A resident on Lakeview Road reported that his home had been egged. According to the report, the front of the home was egged with 4-8 eggs. The area search didn't yield any suspicious results.
