USI Insurance Services, a national insurance brokerage and consulting firm headquartered in Valhalla, has continued to expand its service reach in 2016 with the recent acquisition of Healthcare Liability Solutions LLC in Houston, Texas.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed by USI.
USI officials said the Houston company is a property and casualty brokerage firm that provides customized insurance programs, and especially professional liability insurance, for health care organizations and providers.
John D. Collado, USI regional CEO, in the announcement said Healthcare Liability Solutions "has a deep commitment to offering sophisticated, creative and cost-effective solutions and their experienced staff will help us broaden our reach in the professional liability market."
Denise D. Barnes, president of Healthcare Liability Solutions, said her firm's acquisition by USI will give its clients "an expanded suite of best-in-class solutions and services provided by a national organization."
USI has more than $1 billion in annualized revenue and employs more than 4,400 professionals in about 140 offices nationwide. The Valhalla company last year acquired insurance and employee benefits businesses in New Jersey, Indiana, Georgia, North Carolina and Texas.
