True Health Contracts with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois as In-Network Provider

By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Insurance Weekly News -- True Health Diagnostics has reached an agreement with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois to provide its leading-edge integrated diagnostics to members of the health insurer's PPO and BlueChoice networks across Illinois.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois is the "largest and most experienced health insurance company" in Illinois, according to information provided by the insurer. Illinois makes the fifth state in which True Health has become an in-network diagnostic laboratory provider to a Blue Cross Blue Shield insurer.

"Our ability to offer groundbreaking diagnostics that provide earlier detection of diseases to the members of this network is exciting," said Chris Grottenthaler, CEO of True Health Group, parent company of True Health Diagnostics. "With our clear and insightful reports, I am confident that clinicians in Illinois can better engage with their patients to help improve outcomes."

True Health offers innovative biomarker testing for an expanding number of disease states and conditions, including cardiovascular health, diabetes, rheumatic-autoimmune conditions, genetics, and hormone health. Earlier this year, the company added genTrue, an assessment of 26 genes that are indicators of increased hereditary cancer risk for multiple cancer types.
