Travel Insurance Underwriting Veteran Joins Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection

By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Insurance Weekly News -- Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection (BHTP), a division of Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance, announced that it has named Jill Groshek as vice president of underwriting. She was most recently vice president of underwriting and licensing at Travel Guard, where she worked for more than 20 years.

Groshek will oversee all underwriting and licensing procedures for Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection's growing suite of travel insurance products. She will guide the process of product filing for future products as well as updates to existing policies. Groshek will also manage the company's growing underwriting team and work directly with the company's accounts to create customized plans and programs.

Groshek is a graduate of University of Wisconsin - Green Bay and began working at Travel Guard in 1993, where she worked her way up to an underwriting role. In 2001, Groshek assumed a management role where she was responsible for licensing and corporate and agency licenses. In 2014, she began overseeing the product and compliance team responsible for the drafting and filing of preparation work. Groshek is also a member of the United States Travel Insurance Association (USTIA) licensing sub-committee.
