Transformed Thinking: Property Owners of Color "Charged More" in a Godly Nation
Transformed Thinking By Dr.
According to recent research, it revealed that property owners of color are currently being over charged and have been for decades. Property owners all over
What is so shocking about the findings is that they are being revealed decades after the United States of America "Banned" redlining and other forms of explicit housing discrimination. The research also finds homeowners of color, especially "black homeowners" face higher mortgage rates, higher mortgage denial rates, and discrimination during the property appraisal process. Research findings also concluded that a significantly higher number of white people own their homes than other groups. It is not ungodly for a higher number of white people to own their homes, but it is ungodly to charge people of color more than whites. This is an ungodly act towards people of color and needs to be corrected by the only authority who is qualified to do so, God.
According to God's Holy Scriptures, the Hebrew word for "to be righteous" is "sadaq." It means to be in the right, be justified, and to be just. This Hebrew verb occurs fewer than 40 times in Biblical Hebrew. It is derived from the noun sedeq. Nowhere is the issue of righteousness more appropriate than in the problem of the suffering of people, not just just BLACK and WHITE, but ALL. The first occurrence of this Hebrew verb is in Genesis 38: 26 where Judah admits that Tamar was just (Righteous) in her demands.
The basic meaning our insurance companies and mortgage companies should learn when dealing with people of color is that the basic meaning of being righteous is "to be right." In Hebrew it is actually a legal term which involves the whole process of justice. Our Insurance and mortgage companies should learn that "God" is Righteous!" in all of His relations, even finances.
