The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Certifies Jiva™ for 10 HEDIS® 2018 Measures

PLANO, Texas, Jan. 30, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of healthcare, has certified Jiva™—the end-to-end population health management (PHM) platform from ZeOmega^®—for 10 Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS^®) 2018 measures.

The number of HEDIS measures for which ZeOmega is now certified has doubled since 2017. This demonstrates the commitment of ZeOmega in helping health plans stay ahead of the curve: ZeOmega provides a vetted and quality-proven PHM platform that monitors performance, identifies members that have yet to meet the target of the measure, and develops a plan to intervene before the measurement period ends. Once intervention opportunities are identified, health plans can give attention to areas of concern prior to year-end evaluations. This helps streamline workflow, reduce per-capita cost of care, improve HEDIS performance, and enhance the health of populations.

In 2017, Jiva was certified on five HEDIS measures that helped health plans address access and availability of care, prevention and screening, and the complex care needs of behavioral health. This year, by expanding HEDIS certification, health plans will also be able to identify possible overuse of care or the appropriateness of care—both of which help improve efficiency and optimization of care, as well as heighten overall outcomes.
