The MAP Recovery Network Announces the Addition of Beach House Center for Recovery

PR Web

Juno Beach, FL (PRWEB) April 05, 2016

MAP Health Management, facilitator of the MAP Recovery Network, announced today that Beach House Center for Recovery has joined the Premier Outcomes-Driven Provider Network. Through its membership in the Recovery Network, Beach House will distinguish itself as a quality addiction treatment provider whose focus includes extending the continuum of care for each of its patients.

The MAP Recovery Network continues to expand its membership of addiction treatment providers who, in response to increased demand from health insurance payers and patients, have begun to collect post-treatment outcomes data on their discharged patients. The field of addiction treatment is transitioning to a value-for-performance model and the provision of post-treatment recovery support services will soon become widespread among forward-thinking providers.

Susan Roy, Executive Vice President of Strategy at Beach House, understands the importance of extending the continuum of care to patients battling addiction. "Studies show that continuing care, especially during the first critical year of post-rehab increases the potential to maintain recovery. We are excited to participate in a Network with other providers who are committed to collecting outcomes data on discharged patients. There is opportunity to make great strides in addiction treatment."

MAP Recovery Network members have access to a wide array of addiction treatment resources. In the first year following the completion of treatment, the risk of relapse is high and post-treatment recovery support has a marked impact on whether or not patients maintain sobriety. Advancements in telehealth services provide Recovery Network members with the ability to offer professional, extended recovery support to patients who have recently completed treatment. By maintaining this vital contact following treatment, patients increase their likelihood of overcoming addiction while providers track the outcomes and measure the success of their treatment plans.

"As the field of behavioral health transitions to a pay-for-performance model, there will be significant incentive for providers to embrace interoperability and utilize telehealth and all forms of technology to improve patient outcomes.", commented Jacob Levenson, CEO of MAP Health Management. "If we are serious about beating this chronic disease, it is imperative that providers extend the continuum of care to their patients."

Recently, MAP announced its plans to add 1,200 professional counselors to the Recovery Network, a step that will give its members additional options post-treatment services. Additionally, plans are in place to offer resources to all segments of behavioral health through its population health management platform. The Beach House will continue to differentiate itself in the addiction treatment space as a provider who is dedicated to measuring and demonstrating outcomes data and extending the continuum of care for its clientele.
