HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) _ The Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. (HIG) on Thursday reported third-quarter net income of $482 million.
The Hartford, Connecticut-based company said it had profit of $1.36 per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, were $1.26 per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 81 cents per share.
The insurance and financial services company posted revenue of $5.69 billion in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $3.7 billion.
