The Federal Reserve Banks of Dallas, Atlanta and Cleveland are hosting a research conference to bring together academics, bankers and policymakers to explore the evolving landscape of bank funding in an era of technological advancement and economic change. The conference program will focus on the trade-offs between the different sources of contingent liquidity funding available to banks, and financial stability considerations associated with contemporary depositor practices. It will also provide a fresh perspective on the 2023 banking turmoil and the larger history of the interaction between supervision and banking.
