The COVID-related era of continuous Medicaid coverage ends Friday. Here's what you need to know.
A federal mandate that allows states to offer continuous Medicaid coverage will end tomorrow.
Continuous enrollment - started at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic - automatically renewed coverage for people in the Medicaid program.

"We don't want (those on Medicaid) to go without health insurance," Armijo said. "That's our biggest concern - really making sure we do everything we can to minimize those coverage gaps for New Mexicans."
With the end of continuous coverage, officials expect average enrollment to decrease by nearly 10% across the state.
