KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa., Aug. 14, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The Beacon Group of Companies, an independent financial services firm, today announced senior-level promotions within its Institutional Retirement Plan Practice.

Mark W. Schatzel AIF®, CRPC® has been promoted to the role of Managing Director of Retirement Plan Sales and Services. Schatzel will be responsible for the development of Retirement Plan initiatives, training, sales and management. Schatzel joined The Beacon Group in 2015 where he quickly excelled in sales, 401(k) plan consulting and relationship management. In 2018 Schatzel was recognized as one of NAPA's Top Retirement Plan Advisors Under 40¹. Beacon is confident that Mark's contribution in a leadership role will help continue and expand our history of excellence in providing corporate retirement clients with comprehensive guidance in the areas of investment fiduciary support, consultation and employee education.

Michele Healey has been promoted to Senior Director of Compliance. Healey has demonstrated leadership in compliance oversight and operations. In her expanded role she will be vital in implementing internal staff initiatives, oversight and expanded business directives in the retirement plan and retail marketplace. Michele joined The Beacon Group in 2009 and has served as a highly valued member of the compliance team.
