Symposium to discuss future of American health care

April 08-- Apr. 8--The West Texas Association of Health Underwriters will create a space for dialogue at a symposium that focuses on the future of the Affordable Care Act.
Health insurance agents, insurance company representatives and the public are invited to attend from 8:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. today at the Hilton Garden Inn in Midland.
Robert Henneke, an attorney who argued that the health care law signed by former President Barack Obama in 2010 was unconstitutional in the pending Texas v. United States federal lawsuit, is among additional guest speakers scheduled to present.
The lineup will discuss topics pertaining to the rising costs of health care for Americans as well as options for reform.
Sally Pipes, Pacific Research Institute president and author of "The False Promise of Single-Payer Healthcare," is also a featured speaker for the event.
