TORONTO (AP) _ Sun Life Financial Inc. (SLF) on Wednesday reported fourth-quarter earnings of $880.6 million.
The Toronto-based company said it had profit of $1.45 per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, were $1.21 per share.
The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.22 per share.
The financial services company posted revenue of $10.31 billion in the period.
For the year, the company reported profit of $3.22 billion, or $5.34 per share. Revenue was reported as $28.47 billion.
