Steve Jennings to Spearhead New Dedicated Real Estate Practice for AmTrust

Business Wire

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

“Our new dedicated Residential Real Estate Practice will focus on the unique risk management needs of the owners and managers of residential properties, ranging from small apartment buildings to nationwide portfolios,” said Jeff Duncan, Executive Vice President, Commercial Lines. “It brings our existing residential business into a unit that will provide underwriting expertise, customized products, and deep knowledge of the market. Our launch of this group, with Steve Jennings in the lead, underscores AmTrust’s long-term commitment to residential real estate professionals and the agents who serve them.”

Jennings joins AmTrust with deep experience in residential real estate, human services, and other niche businesses. He spent more than a decade with Philadelphia Insurance Companies where his most recent position was Vice President and Senior Lead, Field Underwriting, Eastern United States

“I am especially pleased to be joining an already strong Nonprofits Practice and to be taking on the new challenge of building a Residential Real Estate Practice for AmTrust,” said Jennings. “Our parallel goals will be to meet the unique needs of mission-driven organizations and residential property managers while looking to expand our services opportunistically and add more niche classes of business over time.”

Prior to joining Philadelphia Insurance Companies, Jennings was Senior Vice President at Aon and, earlier, served as a Vice President in the Commercial Risk Management Group for Wells Fargo Insurance Services.

Jennings began his career in the insurance industry with Federated Insurance in the greater Atlanta area where, over a 12-year period, he rose to the level of Senior Leader for the Southeastern U.S. Underwriting Function. He earned a B.A. in Communication from the University of Georgia and holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) professional designation.
