Congressman Dan Kildee (MI-05), Chief Deputy Whip of the House Democratic Caucus, issued the following statement after President Donald J. Trump issued a memorandum requiring a 90-day review as to whether the Pension Benefit Guarantee Corporation can help the Delphi Salaried Retirees under current law:
"Delphi salaried retirees deserve real action, not more reviews.
"The Trump administration's latest study provides no real relief for Delphi salaried retirees, who have waited far too long to have their benefits restored.
"I have long advocated for the last two presidential administrations to work with the Pension Benefit Guarantee Corporation (PBGC) to restore the benefits rightfully earned by these hardworking retirees."
