State Police: Howes Cave 16-year-old killed in Saturday evening rollover crash in Duanesburg

Jan. 24—DUANESBURG — A 16-year-old from Howes Cave was killed and others injured in a one-car crash Saturday evening in Duanesburg as the driver lost control on a snow-covered road, state police said.
State police identified the teen killed as Ellis Ganter, 16, of Howes Cave.
Ganter was a passenger in a car driven by Alyssa S. Bruno, 19, of Cobleskill, that crashed at about 8:40 p.m. on Duanesburg Road in Duanesburg, state police said. Three others were also in the car at the time.
The three other passengers, two age 18 and one age 17, were all taken to Albany Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries. Bruno's condition was not listed in a release.
The crash happened on Duanesburg Road, Route 7, when Bruno lost control on the snow-covered road. The vehicle then struck a utility pole off the southern shoulder of the roadway, state police said.
The investigation into the crash continued Sunday.
