State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Assigned Patent for Methods to Generate Property Insurance Data

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 26 -- State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance, Bloomington, Illinois, has been assigned a patent (No. 10,453,147, initially filed Sept. 14, 2015) developed by Timothy Joel Davis, Warrenville, Illinois, for "methods and systems to generate property insurance data based on aerial images."
The abstract states: "The present disclosure generally relates to methods and systems to generate property insurance data based on aerial images. The property insurance data is representative of property insurance information. The aerial images may be obtained using a digital camera attached to an unmanned drone. The aerial images may be obtained when a camera is less than five-hundred feet from a property. The property insurance data may be generated based on a series of images taken at different points in time."
