Spectrum Vision Partners Announces Equity Co-Investment

PR Web

WESTBURY, N.Y. (PRWEB) March 07, 2018

Spectrum Vision Partners ("Spectrum" or "SVP") has announced a substantial equity investment by leading investment firms GoldPoint Partners LLC ("GoldPoint"), GCM Grosvenor ("GCM Grosvenor") and Hamilton Lane ("Hamilton Lane"). GCM Grosvenor and Hamilton Lane invested on behalf of the New York State Common Retirement Fund. The new investors are co-investing alongside Blue Sea Capital ("Blue Sea"), SVP's existing lead private equity partner.

Spectrum Vision Partners is a leading management services organization serving the ophthalmology sector. SVP administratively supports the growth of some of the leading ophthalmology practices and ambulatory surgery centers in the Tri-state region, including Ophthalmic Consultants of Long Island ("OCLI"), Island Eye Surgicenter, Ophthalmic Consultants of Connecticut, and New Vision Cataract Center.

Tom Burke, CEO of SVP, commented, "We are excited to welcome these world-class investors to the Spectrum family. We have ambitious plans for rapid growth through strategic affiliations and acquisitions throughout the Tri-State region, and these new institutions provide additional firepower for us to aggressively execute on our strategy."

J.R. Davis, Managing Partner of Blue Sea, added, "GoldPoint, GCM Grosvenor and Hamilton Lane are long-term investors in Blue Sea, and we value our relationship with each of them. We are delighted that they have chosen to co-invest alongside us in SVP, further enhancing Spectrum's leading position in the Tri-State region, and enhancing our ability to affiliate with other like-minded leaders in ophthalmology."

Spectrum also recently welcomed Justin Kuperberg in the newly created role of Chief Development Officer to drive strategic affiliations throughout the Tri-state area. Justin joined SVP from 13 years of experience at Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery ("ADCS"), where he helped drive a similar business development program to grow ADCS from a family-owned business to the largest dermatology group in the country.
