Southland crime: New York man arrested after refusing to wear mask or exit Pace bus in Oak Lawn, and more

Aug. 4—Chicago Ridge

AGGRAVATED DUI: David Thompson, 58, of Crestwood, was arrested and accused of aggravated drunken driving, illegal transportation of alcohol, driving on a suspended license, failure to yield and no insurance after a July 21 crash at 111th Street and Austin Avenue, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Carlos Vasquez, 41, of Chicago, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license and no seat belt after a July 22 stop in the 10400 block of Ridgeland Avenue, police said.

DRUG ARREST: Mohammad Albadareen, 27, of Chicago Ridge, was arrested and accused of possession of a controlled substance July 23 in the 10400 block of Ridgeland Drive, police said.

DUI ARREST: Halina Bryja, 64, of Chicago Ridge, was arrested and accused of drunken driving and illegal transportation of alcohol after a July 25 stop in the 6100 block of Birmingham Avenue, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Omar Munir Ali Mutlaq, 27, of Chicago Ridge, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license July 27 in the 10400 block of Ridgeland Avenue, police said.

DUI ARREST: Peter Vasquez, 23, of Chicago Ridge, was arrested and accused of drunken driving, no insurance and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after driving through a gated sign on the railroad tracks at Oak Park Avenue and 107th Street July 30, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Saleh Yafai, 21, of Bridgeview, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license and disobeying a stop sign Aug. 1 in the 10100 block of Virginia Avenue, police said.

Palos Heights

AGGRAVATED SPEEDING: Safi Sbdelhakeem, 27, of the 10500 block of Southwest Highway, was arrested and accused of aggravated speeding July 28 in the 12900 block of 76th Avenue, police said.

New Lenox

CRIMINAL TRESPASS: Thomas Love, 34, of Joliet, was arrested and accused of criminal trespass to property after creating a disturbance at Silver Cross Hospital, 1900 Silver Cross Boulevard, and then refusing to leave the premises July 24, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: James Shaver, 24, of Joliet, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license at U.S. 30 and Vine Street July 26, police said.

NO VALID LICENSE: Jeffrey Rucker, 27, of Joliet, was arrested and accused of no valid driver's license at U.S. 30 and Vine Street on July 26, police said.

WARRANT ARREST: Alan Leventman, 49, of the 900 block of Wisconsin Road, New Lenox, was processed on two outstanding warrants from Will County after a July 26 stop in the 200 block of Veterans Parkway, police said.

Orland Park

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Christopher Alvarez, 29, of the 5200 block of Park Lane, Crestwood, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license, suspended registration and was ticketed for a defective windshield July 17 at 151st and Harlem Avenue, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Ricardo Campos, 24, of Chicago, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license July 19 at 163rd and LaGrange Road, police said.

OBSTRUCTING IDENTIFICATION: Gabriella Montello-Haro, 26, of Joliet, was arrested and accused of obstructing identification, driving on a suspended license, possession of drug paraphernalia, no insurance and was processed on an outstanding warrant from Will County on a retail theft charge after a July 20 stop at 144th Place and LaGrange Road, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Erandy Arroyo Rosas, 20, of Chicago, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license, no insurance and using a cellphone while driving at 143rd and LaGrange Road on July 20, police said.

WEAPONS ARREST: Karl Bobo Jr., 28, of Lansing, Michigan, was arrested and accused of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon after police discovered a loaded handgun in his car when it was parked in the parking lot of Orland Square Mall on July 21, police said.

OBSTRUCTING IDENTIFICATION: Tiwanna Craig, 40, of the 16400 block of Winchester Avenue, Markham, was arrested and accused of obstructing identification and retail theft after stealing merchandise from Walgreens, 7960 W. 159th St., on July 22, police said. Patrick Caruso, 43, of Michigan City, Indiana, was arrested and accused of retail theft. Caruso and Craig stole $170 worth of alcohol and other merchandise, according to a police report.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Justin David, 25, of Indianapolis, Indiana, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license and speeding July 23 at 159th and Wolf Road, police said.

Tinley Park

BATTERY ARREST: Artesta Lewis, 68, address unknown, was arrested and accused of two counts of battery to a police officer and resisting arrest after spitting at, hitting and kicking two different police officers trying to question her outside of PNC Bank, 7151 W. 159th St., after employees complained Lewis was harassing bank employees on July 13, police said.

DUI ARREST: Eloy Marcum, 25, address unknown, was arrested and accused of drunken driving July 13 in the 17300 block of Oak Park Avenue, police said.

DUI ARREST: Thomas Fitts, 34, address unknown, was arrested and accused of drunken driving July 17 in the 8100 block of 191st Street, police said.

BATTERY ARREST: Angie Boughton, 44, was arrested and accused of battery and resisting a peace officer after pinching a police officer and breaking his skin in the hallway of her apartment building in the 7500 block of 159th Place on July 18, police said. Police said they responded to the scene because Boughton was intoxicated and locked out of her apartment. She was later treated at Palos Hospital.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Medardo Quiles Jr., 45, address unknown, was arrested and accused of domestic battery and interfering with the reporting of domestic violence after a July 21 incident in the 17200 block of 71st Court, police said.

Oak Forest

WEAPONS ARREST: Stacey Moore, 26, of the 9600 block of South Merrion Avenue, Chicago, was arrested and accused of unlawful use of a weapon after police discovered she was in possession of a handgun without a concealed carry license during a July 18 stop in the 4900 block of West 159th Street, police said. Moore does have a valid FOID card, according to a police report. Dolores Moore, 28, of the same address, was arrested and accused of aggravated speeding after police said she was driving 101 mph on 159th Street eastbound from Lorel Avenue.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Jeremiah Jones, 23, of the 12700 block of Parnell Avenue, Chicago, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license and making an improper U turn July 26 in the 14700 block of Central Avenue, police said.

CAR BURGLARY: A man told police someone stole his wallet from his unlocked car when it was parked in the 4300 block of Henry Street July 27.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE: Oscar Ruiz, 23, of the 5200 block of West Harcourt Street, Oak Forest, was arrested and accused of criminal damage to property after standing on top of someone's car and denting the roof July 29 in the 17000 block of Danielle Court, police said.

Homewood

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Courtney Kimbrough, 40, 16800 block of Trapet Avenue, Hazel Crest, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license and improper parking in the roadway July 14 at 175th Street and Dixie Highway, police said.

ILLEGAL WEAPON: Jaquan Ross, 25, 6500 block of Old Plank Boulevard, Matteson, was arrested and accused of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon July 20 at 183rd Street and Governors Highway after he was found to have a loaded firearm without a gun permit or concealed carry license during a traffic stop for speeding, police said. Ross was also accused of driving on a suspended license, police said.

RETAIL THEFT: Emma Jones, 46, 1100 block of Seeley Avenue, Chicago Heights, was arrested and accused of retail theft and trespassing July 21 after disregarding a ban from the Wal-Mart Supercenter, 17550 Halsted St., and stealing merchandise selling for $256.18, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Devon Polk, 21, 1500 block of Tearle Court, Flossmoor was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license July 23 at Ridge Road and Halsted Street during a stop for improper lighting, police said.

DRUNKEN DRIVING: Patrick Hanlon, 41, Bloomington, was arrested and accused of drunken driving with a blood-alcohol concentration above the legal limit July 24 in the 17400 block of Halsted Street, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Amourae Porter, 19, 2500 block of Hickory Road, Homewood, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license and speeding July 24 at 183rd Street and Park Avenue, police said.

DRUNKEN DRIVING: Horacio Martinez Sanchez, 46, 200 block of Durham Drive, Steger, was arrested and accused of drunken driving with a blood-alcohol concentration above the legal limit, failing to signal when required, improper lane use and improper parking in the roadway July 24 at Dixie Highway and Park Avenue, police said.

Oak Lawn

VANDALISM: A motorist reported discovering a three-inch-long scratch on her car July 15 shortly after a brief altercation with another motorist in a retail-store parking lot in the 4900 block of 111th Street.

ILLEGAL GUN: Porsche S. Smith, 28, Naperville, was arrested and accused of unlawfully using a weapon and disorderly conduct July 19 in the 10300 block of Menard Avenue after firing a pistol during a fracas with other women, police said.

VANDALISM: Graffiti was reported spray-painted July 20 in the commuter parking tower stairwell, 4115 Museum Drive.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Adrian Briones II, 19, undisclosed block of Avon Avenue, Oak Lawn, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license and speeding July 22 at 95th Street and Merrimac Avenue, police said.

WARRANT SERVICE: Nick Benson, 35, 10300 block of Pulaski Road, Oak Lawn, was taken into custody July 22 on a warrant from an undisclosed agency for failing to appear in court on a domestic battery charge, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Mohammad A. Ihmud, 18, undisclosed block of Nashville Avenue, Worth, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license and speeding July 22 at 95th Street and 54th Avenue, police said.

TRESPASSING: Lamar Richardson, 19, Chicago, was arrested and accused of trespassing and criminally damaging property July 22 in the 16400 block of Keeler Avenue after loitering on the front porch of a homeowner he didn't know and breaking the front door handle, police said.

THEFT: A delivered package was reported stolen July 22 from a residential porch in the 12100 block of Cook Avenue.

NO LICENSE: Lil-Isaiah J. Crowley Jr., 21, Chicago, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license, reckless driving and aggravated speeding July 23 at 95th Street and Kolin Avenue during a stop for driving 70 mph in a 35 mph zone, police said.

NO LICENSE: Wajih A. Othman, 20, undisclosed block of 90th Place, Oak Lawn, was arrested and accused of driving without a valid license, driving without insurance, disregarding a stop sign and improperly transporting adult-use cannabis July 23 at 94th Street and Austin Avenue, police said.

TRESPASSING: Michael D. Reilly, 64, undisclosed block of 93rd Street, Oak Lawn, was arrested and accused of battery July 23 at Domino's Pizza, 10308 Cicero Avenue, after disregarding a ban, police said.

THEFT: An employee's touch screen tablet personal computer was reported stolen July 23 from an auto dealership in the 9400 block of Cicero Avenue.

BATTERY: Lorie A. Chew, 57, undisclosed block of 91st Place, Oak Lawn, was arrested and accused of battery July 24 in the 6500 block of 91st Place after hitting another woman in the face, police said.

DRUNKEN DRIVING: Milton E. Grady, 39, undisclosed block of Lamb Drive, Oak Lawn, was arrested and accused of drunken driving with a blood-alcohol concentration above the legal limit, improper parking in the roadway, illegally transporting alcohol and violating seat belt law July 24 at 103rd Street and Cicero Avenue after officers found him asleep at the wheel, police said.

NO LICENSE: Adolfo Lopez, 28, Chicago, was arrested and accused of driving without a valid license and speeding July 24 in the 4200 block of 95th Street, police said.

DUI: Shantelle K. Green, 49, Chicago, was arrested and accused of drunken driving, driving without insurance and improper parking in the roadway July 25 at 111th Street and Cicero Avenue, police said.

RESISTING ARREST: Ahmad A. Broedom, 23, Bronx, New York, was arrested and accused of resisting/obstructing police July 26 after stalling officers' identification attempts for more than three hours when taken into custody on a disorderly conduct accusation at 97th Street and Cicero Avenue, police said. Officers were summoned by the driver of a Pace Suburban bus, who said Broedom refused to wear a mask and refused to exit the vehicle, police said.

NO LICENSE: Erlyn R. Morales, 36, Chicago, was arrested and accused of driving without a valid license, driving without insurance and improper lane use July 26 in the 9400 block of Pulaski Road, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Jose R. Sanchez, 21, Chicago, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license, driving without a valid license, speeding and driving a vehicle with expired registration July 26 at 95th Street and Campbell Avenue, police said.

NARCOTICS: Andy F. Yanes, 23, Chicago, was arrested and accused of illegally possessing a controlled substance July 26 in the 9300 block of Cicero Avenue after an officer discovered approximately 2 1/2 grams of suspected cocaine during a traffic stop, police said. Yanes was also accused of driving on a suspended license, driving without a valid license and speeding, police said.

VANDALISM: A bullet that may have ricocheted off a wall shattered an apartment balcony window July 26 in the 10700 block of Washington Street.

THEFT: Credit cards and cash were reported stolen from a wallet in a locked locker July 26 at Esporta Fitness, 8812 Cicero Ave.
