Sign up for health insurance through Tuesday at centers around Connecticut, association says

New Haven Register (CT)

Jan. 30--Officials from the Community Health Center Association of Connecticut are reminding residents that enrollment for health insurance plans remains open through Tuesday, and people can enroll at any of the state's Federally Qualified Health Centers.

The community health centers provide primary, dental and behavioral health care to patients in need, regardless of ability to pay, according to a release from the association, which represents 16 of the health centers.

"With the deadline for enrolling for health care ... we want people to know there is still time to sign up, and it can be done easily at one of the state's community health centers," Deb Polun, sirector of government affairs and media relations for CHCACT, said in the release. "We have enrollment people who are prepared to help. ... Our goal is to get as many people signed up as possible before enrollment closes."

There is no cost to sign up, the release said. The 16 member health centers are:
