Health insurance can be purchased during the annual open enrollment period that begins

If you need help purchasing health insurance, you can seek assistance from a federally trained navigator or certified application counselor by visiting LocalHelp.HealthCare.gov, or from a licensed insurance agent using DIFS' Insurance Licensee Locator.

When shopping for health insurance, DIFS highly encourages Michiganders to review their coverage needs and shop around to find a plan that meets their needs and budget.
Before signing up for a policy, read all the details carefully or review with an insurance agent to ensure you understand your policy language and terms of coverage. If enrolling online, check for disclaimers like "this is not insurance" or "does not meet Minimum Essential Coverage" to ensure you are getting the comprehensive insurance coverage you expect.
