SENATOR WARREN STATEMENT ON UPCOMING FOMC DECISION
States News Service
The following information was released by the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs:
United States Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), Ranking Member of the Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee released the following statement:
"Instead of lowering costs like he promised to do on 'day one', Donald Trump with his reckless tariffs and failed economic policies is making life more unaffordable for Americans. For months, families have had to pay more for basics like groceries, rent, and electricity, while job growth slows and incomes stall. The Fed has no choice but to cut interest rates to protect American jobs, but make no mistake, that alone will not undo the damage. It's up to Trump and Republicans to reverse course, or Americans will continue to face higher prices and worse job outcomes."
