Sen. Tillis Introduces Bill to Amend Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act

WASHINGTON, Aug. 25 -- Sen. Thom Tillis, R-N.C., has introduced legislation (S. 3388) to amend the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
The bill was introduced on Aug. 23 and has nine co-sponsors. Co-sponsors include Sens. Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn., Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, Bill Cassidy, R-La., Roger Wicker, R-Miss., Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., Dean Heller, R-Nev., and John Barrasso, R-Wyo.
The legislation was referred to the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee.
