WASHINGTON, Dec. 20 -- Sen. Maggie Hassan, D-New Hampshire, issued the following statement on a federal appeals court ruling on the Affordable Care Act:
"President Trump and Washington Republicans are working to undermine our health care system and strip protections from people with pre-existing conditions, including by backing this partisan lawsuit to strike down the entire health care law and all of its consumer protections.
"As long as the threat posed by this lawsuit persists, Americans will continue to worry that any day the rug could be pulled out from under them.
"That is unacceptable. We need to build on - not undermine - the Affordable Care Act, and I will keep doing everything in my power to fight back against these dangerous health care sabotage attempts."
