Sen. Flake Introduces Bill to Amend Federal Crop Insurance Act

WASHINGTON, Sept. 9 -- Sen. Flake has introduced legislation (S. 1773) to amend the Federal Crop Insurance Act "to limit the overall rate of return for crop insurance providers and remove the requirement of budget neutrality in the Standard Reinsurance Agreement."
The bill was introduced on Sept. 7 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, D-N.H. It was referred to the Senate Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry Committee.
