Securian Financial Again Named “Top Company for Women Technologists”

2019 NOV 08 (NewsRx) -- By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Insurance Daily News -- For the second consecutive year, Securian Financial is a “Top Company for Women Technologists” according to AnitaB.org, a nonprofit social enterprise committed to increasing the representation of women technologists in the global workforce.

AnitaB.org recently recognized Securian Financial and 75 other companies representing more than 143,000 women technologists as part of the nonprofit’s annual program identifying key national trends on women working in technology. First launched in 2011, the Top Companies for Women Technologists program helps organizations identify areas where they can improve while demonstrating a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.

“It’s an honor to receive this prestigious recognition two years in a row,” said Sid Gandhi, Securian Financial’s chief strategy and enterprise technology officer. “Securian Financial’s focus on growing an inclusive and representative workforce is paying dividends, with the diversity of our team fueling our technology transformation. I am very proud of our continued efforts to build upon our legacy of empowering women in technology.”

Securian Financial, one of the top four overall scorers in its size category, joins the ranks of other top-scoring companies this year including Airbnb, Bank of America, GEICO, IBM, The New York Times and others. Securian Financial received high marks for its flex-time work options, pay equity and efforts to eliminate gender bias in performance reviews.
