Save the Children Elects New Members to Its Board of Trustees

FAIRFIELD, Connecticut, Feb. 27 -- Save the Children issued the following news release:

Save the Children, the first global movement for children, announced today the election of four new members to its Board of Trustees.

Forrest Berkely

Forrest Berkley spent 20 years with the global investment management firm GMO. He retired in January 2006 and now serves on the board of the TIAA-CREF. Berkley is a former director of the Maine Coast Heritage Trust, a former director of the Appalachian Mountain Club and serves on the investment committees of several nonprofits.

Julie Nordstrom

In addition to her role as a trustee of Save the Children, Julie Nordstrom is a board member and past chair of the University of Washington (UW) Medicine Advisory Board, current chair of the UW Medical Center Board, Founding Co-Chair of the UW Department of Global Health Leadership Council and serves on the executive council for UW Medicine Campaign Initiatives Committee. Nordstrom is also a trustee of the Ethical Apparel Africa Foundation.

Cokie Roberts

Cokie Roberts is an Emmy Award-winning journalist, commentator for NPR and ABC News and author of six New York Times best-selling books. She previously served on Save the Children's Board of Trustees from 2003 to 2010 and 2012 to 2018. In her more than 50 years in broadcasting, Roberts has won countless awards, including four Emmys. She has been inducted into the Broadcasting and Cable Hall of Fame, and was cited by American Women in Radio and Television as one of the 50 greatest women in the history of broadcasting.

Tracy McHale Stuart

Tracy McHale Stuart, who has served as co-chair of Save the Children's Illumination Gala in 2017 and 2018, is managing partner and chief executive officer at Corbin Capital Partners, a New York-based investment firm that manages $6.7 billion in assets. Prior to joining Corbin Capital Partners in April 2004, Stuart was managing director and head of the Global Multi-Manager Strategies group at Goldman Sachs Asset Management. Her resume also includes stints with BARRA/RogersCasey Strategic Consulting Group, Wilshire Associates, Inc. and SEI Corporation.
