Ryan Transactional Risk Announces Leadership Team Promotions

3 DECEMBER 2024 | LONDON - Ryan Transactional Risk ("RTR"), a Ryan Specialty (NYSE: RYAN) managing general underwriter specializing in transactional risk insurance and a part of Ryan Specialty Underwriting Managers suite of managing general underwriters, is pleased to announce the following promotions, effective January 1, 2025:

• Current Managing Directors, George Pearce and Rich Stansfield, will be appointed in the roles of Global Co-Chief Executive Officers.
• Luc Joordens is appointed Managing Director International. Luc joined RTR in 2019 and has been fundamental to the platform's growth into the continental European market as one of the leading transactional liability platforms. Luc has been in the insurance market for over 10 years, building teams and underwriting various financial lines and M&A insurance products across a wide range of European territories.
• Rustin Paul is appointed Managing Director North America. In his tenure as Chief Underwriting Officer, Representations & Warranty Insurance ("RWI"), Rustin has been core to managing RTR's underwriting appetite and pivotal to the recent growth of the platform in North America. A former partner at Blank Rome, Rustin is a pillar in the RWI community and will drive the platform's continued growth in the transactional liability market.
• Mike Marston is appointed Chief Underwriting Officer Warranty & Indemnity. Mike joined RTR in 2020, having spent over 10 years as a senior legal professional. Mike will continue to drive RTR's international underwriting strategy and ensure that RTR's top tier underwriting approach is delivered consistently throughout EMEA and the Asia-Pacific region.
• Rob Lustgarten is appointed Chief Underwriting Officer Representations & Warranty Insurance. Rob joined RTR in 2017 and is a certified public accountant. Rob has worked closely with Rustin Paul and in his new role will be implementing and managing RTR's underwriting thesis and consistency across the portfolio of risks RTR insures across the RWI policies it places.
• Marta Batalla is appointed Head of Continental Europe. Marta joined RTR in 2019 and has worked building out the continental European offering for the RTR platform. Marta started her career in the M&A insurance market in 2014 and as one of the first underwriters dedicated to the Iberian market. With over 10 years of professional experience as a corporate and M&A professional in some of the most reputable law firms, Marta has significantly contributed to the development and use of Warranty & Indemnity Insurance in SoutheEurope.
• James Longman is appointed as Global Head of Real Estate. James has been fundamental to building out the market leading UK and European real estate offering for RTR with the largest dedicated static asset team of any managing general underwriter. Having built a dedicated team, James will continue to deliver exceptional service for RTR clients and further build on the foundations laid in the European market across all regions. Prior to joining RTR, James was a real estate lawyer at a top UK law firm.
