RxNT Releases iPad Application to Ease Patient Check-in
RxNT, an innovative software solutions provider in the ambulatory healthcare industry, announced today the launch of its latest iOS application developed to allow patients to check-in electronically and make payments during their doctor's visit. The iPad-specific app demonstrates RxNT's commitment to patient satisfaction and dedication to helping practices improve patient care.
With an increase in the utilization of eHealth solutions by ambulatory practices, RxNT's addition of this application to its already broad array of mobile solutions is welcomed by healthcare providers everywhere. RxNT has found that improving a practice's workflow means analyzing their everyday tasks and figuring out how to simplify and make them more efficient for a provider. The development of RxNT's Check-in app allows practices to abridge the check-in and payment processes, safely and securely. RxNT's latest app is designed exclusively for iPad use and supports both portrait and landscape views. Its sleek and simplistic design along with large fonts and displays allow for a vast majority of patients to easily navigate through the app.
"Patients will have the opportunity to check if their contact information and insurance information is correct by themselves. This advancement will speedup the check-in process for the front desk staff," says Thangaavel Chandrasekaron, RxNT's Senior Technical Manager.
When patients walk into the office, the front desk is able to provide the patient an iPad that they can use to verify and edit their current contact and insurance information. Any changes are automatically updated (real-time) in all other RxNT applications used by the medical practice. Once the patient returns the tablet, the front desk staff can complete the patient check-in and process any related payment for the patient. A patient payment can be made using a credit card, cash, or a Paypal account. If desired, the practice can create and email an invoice to the patient. This feature enables the practice to accept payment at the time of a patient visit, increasing the opportunity of timely collections.
