RSA Welcomes New Talent to Broker Leader Programme

Targeted News Service (Press Releases)

LONDON, Sept. 28 -- RSA Insurance Group issued the following news release:

The intensive seven-month programme, which is CPD accredited by the Chartered Insurance Institute, enables 12 future leaders from some of RSA's key broking partners to take part in management and leadership training tailored specifically for the general insurance market.

Hear more about RSA's Broker Leader Programme from some of the brokers who took part last year

The course is designed to support the individuals in their careers, helping to equip them with strong skills in areas such as strategy, business planning, HR, talent management and financial management.

Each broker is partnered with a different member of the RSA leadership team who mentors them and acts as a supportive sounding board throughout the course. To ensure the programme is entirely relevant and practical, each candidate brings into the programme a live project from their brokerage. They continue to work on this business issue, applying the skills they learn from the programme in real time. The programme runs until April 2018 when the brokers will present their business plans for scrutiny by a panel consisting of RSA executives as well as a sponsor from their own broking firm.

This year's RSA Broker Leader Programme group:

* Samuel Ashby - Towergate

* Sam Aslett - Aston Scott

* Nick Barr - GS Group

* Joe Bishop - Paymentshield

* Katie Brickell - RK Harrison

* Charlotte Eggleton - Higos

* Peter Gee - Butterworth Spengler

* Steven Low - Clark Thomson

* Amy Manning - Touchstone

* Alex Royce - Accelerate

* Mark Rubidge - AJ Gallagher

* Alistair Warden -Towergate

Owen Thomas, sales & distribution director, RSA, said:

"We are delighted to launch our Broker Leader Programme for the third year and to support these talented brokers in realising their career aspirations and building their networks. Training and development for both our own people and our partners is a key part of RSA's strategy, and helps us to foster lasting relationships with brokers. We already provide highly successful CII CPD-accredited technical Learning Labs as well as the Broker Leader Programme, which demonstrates our commitment to brokers by supporting the development and retention of their talented future leaders."
