Ridgway man to retire from Farm Credit Illinois office

James Lawler of Ridgway is retiring from Farm Credit Illinois on March 31 after more than 18 years providing support to generations of farm families in central and southern Illinois.
Lawler is a vice president of crop insurance at the financial cooperative’s Marion regional office.
Lawler was raised on his family’s Gallatin County grain and livestock operation and continues to farm today alongside his son. He began his 18 years of service as a crop insurance agent in the Harrisburg regional office before joining the newly established Marion team in 2014.
Lawler and his wife, Terri, have two children, Jason and Sarah, and five grandchildren.
