Rep. Trone Hosts &apos;Trone Talk&apos; on Open Enrollment for Medicare & Marketplace Insurance

WASHINGTON, Dec. 8 -- Rep. David Trone, D-Maryland, issued the following news release:

Congressman David Trone hosted a "Trone Talk" on open enrollment season for Medicare and Marketplace health insurance with Sharon Graham, Philadelphia Regional Administrator at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and David Stewart, Program Director at AHEC West Health Insurance Program. The group focused on clarifying common misconceptions about enrollment, answering constituent questions about open health care access, and discussing the health care provisions in the Build Back Better Act.

"Accessible and affordable health insurance should be a guarantee in our country. That's why I'm committed to doing everything I can to make the open enrollment process as quick and easy as possible for folks," said Congressman Trone. "I encourage all Marylanders to become informed of their insurance options. After the last two years, health care coverage -- especially mental health care coverage -- cannot be taken for granted."

Medicare open enrollment runs from October 15th through December 7th each year. In Maryland, the Affordable Care Act Marketplace open enrollment period runs from November 1st through January 15th. For more information on open enrollment use the resources below.
