Rep. McEachin Introduces Bill on Cost-Sharing Requirements of Health Insurance Plans

WASHINGTON, Nov. 3 -- Rep. Donald A. McEachin, D-Va., has introduced legislation (H.R. 5801) to "amend title XXVII of the Public Health Service Act to apply additional payments, discounts, and other financial assistance towards the cost-sharing requirements of health insurance plans."
The bill was introduced on Nov. 1 and has eight co-sponsors. Co-sponsors include Reps. Rodney Davis, R-Ill., Bobby L. Rush, D-Ill., Brian Fitzpatrick, R-Pa., Yvette Clarke, D-N.Y., Bonnie Watson Coleman, D-N.J., Marc Veasey, D-Texas, Buddy Carter, R-Ga., and Barbara Lee, D-Calif.
The legislation was referred to the House Energy and Commerce Committee.
